International Gateway Center (IGC) – Outdoor Landscape Sculpture Installation Unveiled as a New Streamlined Landmark at West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Hub
The outdoor landscape sculpture installation at IGC, Level 2 platform, located atop the West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station, has been completed in May 2026. The artwork enhances the visual experience at the main entrances of the IGC’s 4 Commercial Tower, adding a distinctive urban focal point to the area.
Conceptual designed with the sculpture concept by Zaha Hadid, the project was carried through a comprehensive end-to-end management process by the team, spanning approximately six months. The scope included structural design, safety factor assessment, and the complex sequence of works from fabrication, segment-based transport, to on-site assembly—ensuring the installation met stringent technical and safety requirements.
The sculpture installation is divided into two parts. Built primarily with stainless steel and aluminium panels, it features a highly streamlined form language that harmonises with the architectural lines and façade rhythm of the IGC four towers.
